Sex and the City has changed the ideology of women for years through its famous characters: the four cool, intelligent, brave, independent and adorable ladies best known as Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha. These figures have succeeded in changing the image, attitude, confidence and possibilities for females around the globe.
The Series were inspired and partly based on Candace Bushnells’ book of the same name ‘Sex and the City’. Candace has agreed in many interviews that the main character Carrie actually started as her alter-ego. After that the series were influenced and written by many individual and strong women each contributing to Carrie’s character.
Cindy Chupack, one of the writer’s of Sex and the City tells “To me, the most shocking thing about Sex and the City was not that the characters were physically naked, but that they were emotionally naked. That’s the kind of nudity I think viewers, especially women, were craving.” This fact makes it so easy for the audience to relate to the characters.
The film ‘Sex and the City’ came out after the series ended in 2004. It was produced and directed by Michael Patrick King. It was released on the 28th of May 2008 and received reorganization and positive feedback amongst women around the world.

COSTUME PARTIES
Dress up parties or Costume parties are cool now and have been cool for years. The historical past of Masquerades was the inspiring concept for the first dress up parties in London in the 18th Century. At the start the themes of the fancy parties were always based on historical characters from novels.
Modern dress parties were introduced during the 19th century by Victorians and developed further by the Edwardians. At the start most costumes were either hired or self-made. As the parties got cooler and cooler they opened up new possibilities for designers to shine.
Today there are all kinds of costume parties and only our imagination is the limit. Costume parties are so much fun and so cool because it gets people to step out of their comfort zone and it instantly makes it easier for everyone to meet new people.
